It's reveal day at Card Chain Challenge where this month 30 participants sent and received hand made cards. Mine went to Karolina this time.
I masked the gent on the stamped image but not the background so the stencilling goes over that bit of the image and the rays come directly out of his head. There's a charcoal pencil drop shadow going on and some silver gel pen on the corner swirls in the image.
Stamps:
Dashing Gents (Darkroom Door)
Essential Messages (Hero Arts, retired)
Paper:
Bristol board
Ink:
Brilliance by Tsukineko (Graphite Black)
Tim Holtz Distress ink by Ranger (Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch)
Other:
Strobes stencil (Visible Image)
Silver gel pen
Corner Chomper
Scor It
Thanks for stopping by!

What a great vintage gentleman image Joanne! Wonderful rays stenciling and how clever to mask the head so the rays continue onto the panel - and lovely in the blue white! Julia xx

Well that's a classy/ vintage man in a hat!
Your card is awesome!
I will have to try to keep mine to one layer for mailing!
Love the vintage style of your card!!! Great job!!
I see we both went 'Men in Hats'! Love your bowler-hatted guy, what a geezer. I really like how you positioned the rays to make him the focal point of the whole design - so cool. Big hugs, Jo x
wow-you masked him with the tiny bowler lip? Impressed! Fascinated...Did you go over the skinny frame with a black pen to cover the rays?
Very cool look/effect!

Love your man in a hat and the clever stencilling. It's a great look. I also like the little hello and rounded corner. Great details xx
