Rizwana is setting our challenge at Daring Cardmakers this week and she’d like to see tropical birds, animals and plants.
I confess I struggled a bit, I’m sure I have a flamingo stamp but he seems to have gone AWOL. Then I remembered this turtle and thought he’d be a good option. I’m sure turtles aren’t always tropical but they certainly can be! It also allowed me to combine with the current Lost Coast challenge where the theme is “under the sea”.I'm a bit alarmed that I managed to use five different stamps/sets for what is apparently a very simple card!
Stamps:
Emerging Turtle (Cornish Heritage Farms, no longer with us)
Bubbles border (Lost Coast Designs)
Layering Goldfish, Layering Octopus and Essential Messages (all Hero Arts)
Paper:
Bristol board
Ink:
Brilliance by Tsukineko (Pearlescent Chocolate)
Adirondack dye ink by Ranger (Pool)
Tim Holtz Distress ink by Ranger (Tumbled Glass)
Tim Holtz Distress Oxide by Ranger (Cracked Pistachio)
Other:
Copic markers
Glossy Accents
Glamour Dust (Crystal)
Corner Chomper

Fun card! I love your blue watery background and the bubble border stamp is just perfect here. And so is the turtle - he looks like he's swimming up out of the water to say "hello"! Thanks for joining the Lost Coast Design Challenge!
LOL. I think it is great you used 5 stamp sets! Usually we are worried we are not using our stamps enough.
Love that turtle.

This is fabulous, and great use of the bubbles border. I always use loads of stamps - all from different boxes, and my craft room looks like I've been burgled! Thanks so much for joining in with our challenge at Lost Coast Designs, and have a very happy week, Sue xx
Your cards are never simple Joanne. They are put together so thoughtfully and are very clever. I'm in awe of your talent. Shabneez x
I think most turtles are tropical. I certainly would be if I had a choice. Awesome scene and lovely to see so many stamps. Thanks for joining the fun at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity. Hugz
