We're having one of our occasional postcard swaps on the Bubly Funk forum with the theme "summer treats". My original thoughts were overtaken by the current mixed media challenge on Splitcoast Stampers where Tiffany has asked us to mix colouring media with glue and use it on our projects - I thought it would make great melting icecream!
Childhood summer holidays without icecream would be unthinkable and I suspect it's one of those summer treats we never really grow out of!
I mixed acrylic paint with my glue and dribbled it over embossed
cardstock to look like strawberry or raspberry icecream melting over the edge of a waffle cone. Thickly dribbled glue takes ages to dry but once it has it's shiny and has some texture along with the kind of tiny little air bubbles you might find in real melting icecream!

haha you are so right - we never grow out of an ice cream in the summer do we? This is a lovely idea Joanne and its a lucky lady to receive this one xxx
It's beautiful Joanne, what a brilliant idea xxx
Great idea, so well done !! Love your pink 'runs'. Great card !!
Absolutely spot on, it does look like melting ice cream running down a cone but no sticky fingers :) It looks fabulous Joanne x
That is such an evocative card - my childhood memories are of ice cream that always melted faster than I ate it!
such a clever idea to evoke the ice cream cone - almost lickable
This is a great idea Joanne and I think it looks good enough to eat. :)
